This year we bought a pumpkin to carve and some smaller pumkins for Hayden to decorate with paint. She painted her pumpkins the way she wanted them to look. I figured that she would paint smiley faces on them, but she wanted to paint them all different colors (they turned out very good). Gracie wasn't allowed anywhere near the paint, so she ate snacks in the high chair and watched Hayden decorate. Hayden painted one yellow just for Gracie. Mark, Hayden and Gracie carved the bigger pumpkin last night. They did a great job, Hayden wanted to help do everything and Gracie just screamed loudly to get a little attention. Mark took all the pumpkin seeds and baked them in the oven to eat later. This is something he used to do every year when he was growing up. I had never had it before, but they were pretty good and crunchy. Hayden wasn't impressed with the pumpkin seeds at all, she put one in her mouth, made a face and spit it all over the kitchen counter and said "this is not very good". Mark took them to work with him this morning to snack on.

Gracie wasn't to excited about it:
Ready to go buy another pumpkin:

Yesterday Mark got to go to ballet with us. He was very impressed with our little dancer. He says it isn't really ballet that they are doing. I told him they have come a long way since the first class. They call their ballet class creative movement, and that is exactly what it is. Yesterday Hayden really opened up, I guess she wanted to show off for her Daddy. She is usually very quiet and just watches, but yesterday every time they started something new, she would say I want to go first (it was good to see her excited about it). You could tell Mark was a proud Daddy, he watched her the whole time with a big smile on his face.
