Gracie's Pajama Day

Wednesday was Gracie's pajama day at Preschool.  She wore her super cute ballerina pajamas and her hair in curly pigtails!  She looked adorable!  The best part for her was that she got to take Pooh Bear to school with her.  Her class got to watch TV and eat cereal.  She said that they played with blocks and read some books.  Then they got to have cupcakes because it was a little boys birthday too.  So overall I would say that Gracie had an amazing day yesterday!   She is having so much fun this year.  I love it when she gets in the car so excited and anxious to tell me all about her day.

Tired Little Man

Colton always plays so hard.  He is a very busy little man.  He is into every thing.  He loves to aggravate his sisters and he loves to play outside.  With the weather being a little cooler, we have been spending lots of time outside.  Well, Saturday we played outside all morning and then Colton decided he was hungry.  I fed him and he ate every bite of his food, which is unusual because he is a picky little man.  I was washing clothes while he finished his lunch and when I came back through the kitchen, he was sound asleep in his high chair still holding his juice and a cracker!  He must have really been worn out because that never happens!  I sure do love my little man!!!

Oh and I have to share another story for our little man to read about one day!  Our guest bathroom toilet has been stopped up for months.  Every time we thought we had it fixed,  it would start acting up again. Thanks to our little man for throwing things in the toilet. He throws things like cups, toys, shoes and anything else he can get his hands on.  We now have to keep the doors to both bathrooms closed at all times.  Silly little man!!!!

Well here it is!  The problem was a very pretty Valentine Straw!!! I don't even know where he would have found this to throw in the toilet.  The only thing I can figure is that one of the girls got it in a goody bag from school and had it hid in their room!

Ballet 2012

Hayden had her first ballet class on Monday this week.  She was familiar with everyone and knew exactly what to do.  Gracie had her first ballet class on Thursday.  This is her first year at Charlotte's School of Dance so I wasn't sure how she would do.  She was  a little angel.  She went right in and let me change her into her real ballerina outfit(that is what she calls it).  Then she posed for a quick picture and went back and sat on the bench with all of her friends.  I told her that I would be outside waiting for her and she said "okay I love you Mommy".   I was so proud of her, this is all very new for her.  She is really a little girl now instead of my baby girl.  She was even more excited when she found out that her best friend Madison is in her ballet class too!  I just know this is going to be a great year for Gracie, she is our little ballerina.  Hayden likes ballet and enjoys it but Gracie LOVES ballet right now.  She loves to sing and dance for us!

Senior / 1st Grade Breakfast

This is a big year for Hayden.  Yesterday was the Senior/1st Grader breakfast.  It was hosted by the first grader Moms.  I must say it turned out great.  It was very organized and every one seemed to enjoy themselves.  We used paper as the table cloths and put crayons in cups so that everyone could draw while they got to know each other.  It was a big hit.  In fact, we ended up cutting out some of their drawings so that they could be hung up in the halls for every one to see and enjoy!  Hayden was very shy with Sue Anna and Madison at first, but then she got more comfortable towards the end of breakfast.  They took pictures together with the Seniors standing behind a stand with 2013 on it and the 1st Graders standing on a little stool with 2024 on it!  It is going to be so cute!  Sue Anna and Madison also made her a note that talked about how much they love Hayden!  Yes, it made me cry!  They call her their 1st grade Princess!  They also brought her some candy and Madison brought her a gift with a book mark that you decorate yourself and silly putty!  I didn't even know they still made silly putty!!!!  She has already made her book mark too and was very excited about it.  Next, will be the Christmas Tree Program in December.  It is the biggest program and one that everyone should try to come to!!!!

Hayden also got her first progress report yesterday!  Mark and I are so proud of our very intelligent 1st Grader.   She is doing awesome this year and adjusting very well.  She got all E's for Excellent and a 100 in Math, 98 in Reading and 102 in Spelling!  Keep up the good work shining star!  Mommy and Daddy love you to the moon and back!

Orange Tigers

Hayden had her first Soccer game on Saturday.   She is on the Orange Team, which they named themselves The Orange Tigers!  The Tigers were short a player, so they all had to play a lot.  Hayden did awesome, as always, but she did get very red faced and tired.  She finally got to sit out the last quarter.  She scored 1 goal and she was very proud of that.  She also did great being the goalie!  The Tigers did win 6-3 and she was so excited about it.  It is going to be a fun season! Can't wait until Tuesday to watch her play again!

After we left the game, we went to Athens to find her Seniors the perfect gift for the Senior/1st grade breakfast tomorrow morning.  We ended up at the Mall, which meant that the girls got to do the jumpy thingy.  Gracie did it too and wasn't scared at all!  She has done it before but looked terrified, this time she was all smiles!  Then it was back home to get ready for Football and family time.

Sunday, was clean up day at our house!  We officially cleaned and organized the basement, filled up a dumpster, and got all the trucks cleaned off and out!  It was a job, but it is so nice to have it all taken care of now!  Then Mark and I put the new floor in the playhouse.  Mimi and Pop bought the flooring Saturday and Hayden couldn't wait any longer for it to be done.  So we got it all fixed up and I found their bean bag chairs in the basement that they could use in their new home!

It's Here!

The new playhouse arrived yesterday while the girls were at school!  It is a whole lot bigger than the old playhouse.  They were amazed and all smiles as they checked out their new place.  All they kept saying was "whoa this is big".  They are going to have so much fun!  We are moving their play kitchen, food and dishes into it.  They are also moving in a doll bed and a couple of other things to.  They are going to have a great place to entertain their friends and their dolls.  I can't wait to get it all finished up and move everything into it.  We are going to be adding a front porch, painting it, making it a two room playhouse and decorating it very girlie!  I don't know who is more excited the girls or Mimi and myself!!!

Gracie's Birthday at Preschool

Today Colton and I went to celebrate Gracie's birthday at Preschool.  She has pretty much had a whole month of celebrations!  In fact, Hayden informed her yesterday that after Mommy took cupcakes to school for her that means her birthday is finally over!

Gracie was so excited to see us when she came back from play time.  Her class washed their hands, said the blessing and ate their lunches.  Gracie ate all of her lunch!  Then they had Gracie's favorite thing, cupcakes!  Although, I did cheat a little bit.  I bought cupcakes this time instead of making them.  There just wasn't enough time to get every thing done.  She still loved them though, and so did all of her little friends at school!  Gracie got to wear the birhtday crown and pick a prize out of the birthday bag.  She picked a Hello Kitty drawing pad and crayons.  My little Gracie loves notepads!  She had the biggest smile on her face when all of her friends sang Happy Birthday to her, she is such a sweetheart.  Mrs. Christie told me again today that she is the sweetest little girl ever!  It just makes my day!

Gracie's Birthday Party!

Gracie's 4th Birthday Party was the best party ever.  At least that is what she says anyway!  We decided to have a pool party at Kim and Artie's house since it is always so hot on Gracie's birthday.  Thanks again to Aunt Kim and Uncle Artie for letting us use the basement and pool.  Gracie was so excited Madison and Katelyn were able to come have fun with her.  We had some pizza and then it was time for swimming!  There was lots of jumping, going underwater and giggling.  Aunt Kim made sure to catch Gracie and Madison when they jumped in.  Katelyn jumped in too, but she would only jump in to her Daddy.  After lots of jumping and swimming, Gracie decided she was ready to open her presents and have some cake.  She absolutely loved all of her presents.  She got all of her favorite things...barbies, a purse, clothes, minnie mouse stuff, American girl doll accessories, and a bike!  Yep, Mimi and Pop gave her a big girl bike!  We also figured out that she doesn't like to be the center of attention.  She kind of looked scared while she was opening her presents, but was everyone stopped looking at her, she was fine.  She had the sweetest look on her face when we all sang Happy Birthday to her and then she enjoyed some cake!

Now time for the funny story.  After everyone left the party Gracie wanted to ride her bike.  It was a little hard to pedal inside the basement on the carpet so Mark put it outside.  Well, she ended up loving it, but we all kept telling her to be careful and not fall into the pool.  Well, guess what happened right after I put her pajamas on her. Yep, turned to sharp and her and her new bike went right in the pool!  She stood up immediately crying "I didn't mean too"  I think she thought she was going to be in trouble. She finally calmed down and put on some dry clothes and got back on her bike, except this time she rode inside the basement.  Since we have been home, she has rode her bike inside the house and on the deck.  She is getting faster and faster!

Happy 4th Birthday Gracie!

Four years ago today, we were blessed with another amazing little girl!  Gracie Leigh Stancil made her arrival September 2, 2008 at 1:04pm, weighing 8lbs and 8oz and 20 inches long!  One of the most beautiful and patient babies to ever be born.  With that being said, Gracie is definitely not patient anymore.  When she wants something, she means she wants it right then.  You must stop what you are doing and get it right then!  She is slowly but surely learning that life really doesn't work that way.  Happy, Happy Birthday to my sweet, smiling baby girl!

Dear Gracie,

Today you are 4 years old.  Wow that seems so hard to believe.  I'm not sure why time goes by so fast but it does, sometimes I would love to pause it and keep you my baby forever.  I know that I can't do that, so I am going to enjoy everything I can while you are my baby.   I thought I would share with you the things that I love about you.  I love that when I am sitting down, you immediately climb into my lap to snuggle with me.  You always suck your thumb and have pooh bear in hand!  I can tell when you fall asleep because I hear you sucking your thumb, it must really taste good.  I love that you are very shy and don't like to be the center of attention.   You like to do things at your own pace.  I love watching you play pretend with your sleeping baby, barbies, and dress up clothes.  You even have a few pretend friends that you play school with.  I love that you really enjoy filling up ziploc bags with all sorts of things from around the house.  I never know what I am going to find in your purses and bags.  I love that you love to dance and are really enjoying ballet classes.  You have some very good dance moves and you sing like a little angel.  I love that in the evenings when Daddy gets home you want to ride your big wheel and tricycle on the deck.  It is even better when Hayden and you are racing and you win.  I absolutely love the smile on your face when you win!  I love that you are such a big girl and go into Preschool all by yourself this year and never look back.  Your teacher tells me everyday when I pick you up that you are the sweetest little girl in the world and she is so right.  Your best friend is Madison and you love it when you get to play with her.  I love that you are such a great big sister to Colton.  Even though he pulls your hair, you still play with him.  I love that you are a great little sister to Hayden, you two have a very special relationship.  Oh, sweet girl I could write for days on all the things that I love about you because I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU!  You will always be my smiling baby, with that million dollar smile you have.  You came into the world smiling!  When you smile it makes everyone around you smile.  You are so smart and so determined, which means you will be great at everything you do.  Reach high and aim big baby, you can be anything you want to be!

Happy 4th Birthday Gracie!  We love you to the moon and back baby girl!!!

Love,

Mommy and Daddy
