Hayden's Easter Party

Hayden's party was today and she was excited about her Easter Egg Hunt.  I love the way they do it, they have us send in 13 Easter eggs with candy or bubbles if you are a Mommy like me and number them 1-13 and then each kid is assigned a number to find, so everybody has to find the same amount of eggs.  Hayden was number 5 today, and some of hers were hard to find, but she found them with a little bit of help from Mommy.  Then they all played on the playground together and Gracie got to play with Tyler's sister Kendall, which she knows from her Preschool.  I am pretty sure that they all had a blast, even Little Man because he sat in his stroller enjoying his McDonalds and apple juice.  I think we are all excited about being off for a week next week!

Simply Gorgeous!

Today was Spring pictures at School for Hayden, she was so excited about her new dress that Mommy found yesterday!  She was excited to wear real clothes to school today!  She looked absolutely gorgeous this morning, she even has beautiful sparkling pink heart earrings on and her fingernails and toenails are hot pink to match her dress!  She may be good at Soccer, Softball, Monkey bars and playing in puddles but she can also be a girlie girl too!!!!

Time of the Year

Well, it is definitely the end of the school year because every thing is getting so busy!  Hayden has had two softball games since my last post, the one last Saturday she played the pitcher position and she did very well until she got hit in the top of the head with the ball, she never reacted...she still went after the ball and skipped back to her position.  I knew she was okay, but her Coach had to check on her and so did the other team Coach and all the umpires, and when they did she got embarrassed, being the shy girl she is and the tears started streaming down her beautiful face.  I felt so sorry for her, that I also had tears streaming down my face waiting for her to come off the field for a break.  However, I had my sunglasses on so no one even knew!  I always stay in the dug out, so I was right there when she came in and Mark immediately came over to check on her, she didn't want to go back in but we made her at least go to the out field position.  We don't want her to be scared.  She was fine after that and she practiced all weekend with Mark, catching the balls high and low!  Last night she had another game and she played in the out field between second and third bases and she did wonderful, as usual.  She had more plays than any of the other girls and she was very proud of herself.  She is doing such a wonderful job and it is so much fun to watch her.  I find myself counting the days until the next game.  Last night the Mudhens really played a good game, all of them.  It was very exciting and they almost won this one!  Even the girls were getting competitive in the dug out watching the score board!

Gracie had her Easter Party at Preschool today, we had a little egg hunt and brought pizza and cookies for lunch.  She is such a sweetheart and very shy at school too.  Colton was a happy boy as always but since he has started crawling, he only likes his stroller for a little bit.  Gracie was very excited about all the candy she collected at her party today, which means when she takes a nap, Mommy will probably get rid of some of it!  Yes, I am mean...I throw away a lot of candy at my house!!!!

She found lots of eggs!

Can you say GOOD LOOKING?

Can you say handsome, good looking and little man?  That is all there is to say about these two pictures.  The picture at the top of the blog is perfect of all 3 of them, but we wanted to do some individual ones of little man! He is a little ham!  He was so good, we go next week to pick out and buy some of these amazing pictures that Mylinda did at Spring Street Studios!  The kids love her and she did a fantastic job.  They are the most amazing kids in the whole wide world and definitely the best looking ones!

Hayden's Game and Gracie's Petting Zoo

Well our weeks keep getting busier and busier, so I forget to post things as soon as they happen...so I have updated this post with lots of adorable pictures of 3 amazing kids!  Saturday, we spent some time with my Mema and Pop, then we came home to practice some softball in the yard and Grandmama and Linda came to play.  Hayden and Gracie have decided that Aunt Linda is the silliest person ever.  They had lots of fun!Sunday we spent the day with Mimi, Pop, Kim and Artie.....Mimi had been out of town all week and there were 3 little ones that couldn't wait to see her!!!  She also brought back lots of presents for her favorite people.  Then it was back to school, practices and ballet for the week.  Hayden had another softball game last night and she did EXCELLENT!  I am loving her games, I find that I am one of those parents cheering on the whole team.  They all did very good and they all cheered for their team too....it was very cute.   Hayden didn't let the ball get passed her one time,  to say I was proud would be an understatement.  She is so good at everything she does!

Gracie had a petting zoo at her school today, they needed volunteers so I made sure to be there.  They had lots of bunnies, turtle and a parrot.  There were a few other things but I don't remember what they were being that my little man was keeping me pretty busy trying to get into every thing.  Gracie didn't like the animals near her at all.  She let them put one bunny in her lap and after that she was done.  She says that she liked them but not on her!!!  Silly girl, she gets it honest though because I am the same way.  It was fun and interesting.  She is such a good girl at school, very sweet and quiet.  Her teachers just love her to pieces!

Colton is into every thing still, he can find anything on the floor.  He is so handsome, I just love to kiss on his chubby little cheeks.  He is starting to get lots of personality and when he smiles and scrunches his nose up, it is hilarious.  He also loves to play with Hayden and Gracie, you should hear the way he laughs at them!

Just like his Daddy!

My Loves!

Yesterday, we went to the Park to pass the time before Hayden had to be at Ballet.  Hayden played on the monkey bars, I know that is a big surprise to everyone and Gracie played on the slide for the most part.  The Park was a little crowded being that the weather was gorgeous, so we didn't get to actually swing.  They also didn't have baby swings, which was really disappointing because I wanted to see how Colton would like swinging.  I guess I am going to have to buy him a swing soon, especially if the weather stays like warm and sunny!   We are really loving this weather, we went for a long buggy ride last night and they all have fun playing on the deck.  Colton usually has to be in his walker because he is constantly eating every thing he can get his hands on.

Colton is so silly and growing up too fast.  He thinks it is so funny when you tell him NO.  When I put him in his bed for nap time today, he wasn't satisfied until he pulled his monitor down and it hit the floor.  He stands up in his bed and calls MaMa now.  He loves to aggravate his sisters, yes already, however they think it is funny right now, but I have a feeling that will change very soon.  He takes Tired away from Hayden and he is always pulling Gracie's hair.  All I can say is that I sure do LOVE my loves!!!!

Game Ball!  She is getting so big!

Game Ball

Hayden had her 2nd softball game last night, but due to a little thunderstorm that popped up, the game was called at the beginning of the 3rd inning....as she was up to bat for the second time.   She did hit off one of the pitches the first time and although she didn't get a home run, she did score for her team!  She is so excited about all of this, to say her daddy is proud and happy would be an understatement!   He loves baseball or rather softball in this situation, he has really been talking to her about what to do they did lots of batting and throwing all weekend long.  In fact, he called to give her a pep talk on the phone at her game yesterday, it was something about tap the base three times...get your bat up...and don't take your eyes off the ball!  Since her coach had to leave the game early on Saturday, he forgot about the game ball...so he gave out one based on the first game they had and guess who got it.............HAYDEN!  He told her how proud he was of her and what a great job she was doing.  Oh and I ordered some shirts today...I'm so excited... They will have the Mudhen logo and on the back it will say Hayden's Mom with #1 under it, but I also got Gracie one that will say Hayden's sister with a #1 and Colton on that says, bet you can't guess...Hayden's brother with a #1!  I can't wait!

Go MudHens!

Saturday was Hayden's first Softball game of the season.  This year it is real Softball, they have strikes, outs and umpires.  I think for the most part the girls were all in shock of how a real game works.  When one would get the ball, all the coaches and parents would go to hollering at them where to throw it and they just stood there in shock, not knowing what to do!  It is going to be very competitive and fun this year.  The Mudhens were in the field first, our first baseman, has played ball for a long time so she is really good and our second baseman is none other than the famous Hayden Stancil!  Hayden did get the ball a couple of times but she was a little unsure of what to do at first too, no worries though we have been practicing and preparing her for what to expect.  She did great considering that this was way different than little old T Ball last year!  All of our Mudhens are pretty good at bat!  They get 3 pitches from their coach and then 2 tries of the T if they can't hit it, but if they should mess up and not hit one off the T, it is considered an out!  Are you ready for this!  The famous Hayden Stancil was second to bat, she was nervous but I told her when she went out to watch the ball and hit it....and that is exactly what she did....a HOME RUN!!!!  It was priceless, she hit off of one of the pitches and ran around all the bases very proudly and when she crossed home plate, her Coach, Matt was there to give her not one high five but two!!!!   He was very proud of her too!  Nothing in the world beats the smile that was on her face when she came back to the dug out and the smile on her Daddy's face too, he met her at the dug out to give her a big hug and some more high fives!   Pop was there to cheer her on too, Mimi is out of town and so very sad that she missed her first game, but there will be many more to enjoy and I made sure to text Mimi and send a few pictures of our #1 Hayden Stancil!!!!  We are so proud of her!  I am also going to be that Mommy that wears a game shirt that says 'I am Hayden's Mom' !!!  Oh and the Mudhens won their first game 11 to 8!  GO MUDHENS!

Strike a Pose Sweet Girl!

Thats Right!!!

I have updated the blog twice today, got a little behind so be sure to read Skunked too!!!

Skunked

Well everyone wants to know why I haven't blogged about our friend Mr. Skunk, truth be known I have been very upset and frustrated with the whole situation...but now it is all better so here is our story!

Last Tuesday night Ms. Sue, our dog wouldn't quit barking, which is very unusual especially in the middle of the night.  Finally I got up and turned on the outside lights and didn't see anything but Sue standing on the back porch barking down the steps, so I opened the door about an inch or so................and well I smelled the skunk..................so I immediately closed the door back!  Didn't see Mr. Skunk so I figured it was long gone!  Well not so much, I heard Sue again and a whole bunch of racket going on.................so back out of the bed I go and turned the lights back on and there on my back porch is Mr. Skunk!!! I went to screaming for Mark to come take care of Mr. Skunk and the whole time it is just spraying everywhere on everything on the porch.  By the time Mark got awake and out of bed, the skunk was gone again.  In hopes that Mr. Skunk had done his damage we all went to bed, but noticed that our house smelled horrible.  The next morning, the house still smelled awful, so I took the girls to school and came back home and started cleaning like crazy and opening every door and window to air out everything.  It seemed that I was getting nowhere, every time I would close the house back up, it smelled awful....this would be where all my frustration came into play!   After picking Gracie up from school, we came back home and started cleaning again and that is when I noticed that Mr. Skunk was walking up on my back porch in the middle of the day, eating leftovers and picking a fight with our other dog Princess!  I was actually on the phone with Mimi, when all of this started and I was having a fit!  I called Mark to tell him what was going on and while on the phone with him....I was running all over the house as fast as possible trying to close all the doors and windows before Mr. Skunk sprayed again.  Oh and I almost broke my neck, in the process!  Mark told me to calm down, that he would call Uncle Richard to come over.  Mr. Skunk and Princess chased each other for about 25 minutes and Mr. Skunk was spraying and spraying and spraying!!!!  This skunk was crazy!!!!!!!  When Richard got to our house that were both underneath the porch, so he started calling Princess.  Richard had to make sure Princess was out of danger.  Mr. Skunk wasn't scared of anything or anybody when he saw Richard he went towards him too but he got a little more than a bargained for that time!!!  Lets just say that Mr. Skunk is taking a long nap really far away from our house now! Thanks to Uncle Richard for helping me out, I don't know what would have happened if he hadn't come over.  Richard seemed to think that the skunk wasn't quite right either, so both of our dogs have been isolated for 10 days!!!!  Finally after scrubbing the door and floors and walls on my hands and knees, the smell was much better on Friday!  I know one thing for sure, my kitchen is the cleanest kitchen in the world now!!!!   Hopefully we won't have anymore skunks around for a really long time!

Mimi's Beach Birthday Party

Yesterday we celebrated Mimi's birthday!  Her birthday is Monday the 5th and since all she wanted for her birthday was to go to the beach, we decided to bring the beach to our house!  We even named our beach, bet you can't figure out what we named it....are you ready?  Mimi's Beach!!!  Hayden and I thought it was the best name ever!   Hayden even made a sign to put on the door that said 'Welcome to Mimi's Beach', it was pretty cute.  I had the idea of decorating our kitchen table like the beach with real sand, my family thought I had lost it, but when they figured out I was really going to do it...they were all more than ready to help, even Mark.  He made all the sandcastles and helped Hayden, Gracie and Colton put their hand prints in the sand.  Hayden and Gracie had so much fun running all over the house getting everything I needed....flippers, sunglasses, flip flops, towels, beach bag, swim suits, sunscreen and of course some sea shells.  Hayden said the only thing we had left was water, but we didn't have a pretty blue bowl, otherwise I would have mixed up some salt water for it.  I think it turned out perfect!  Hayden made a picture of Mimi at the beach and I bought a frame and framed it as part of her birthday present!  Pretty sure she loved it!  We celebrated with fried shrimp, french fries, hush puppies and red velvet cake.  The cake was made by the school teacher at GWA, and as always it was delicious!

We were very proud of our beach!

Happy Birthday Mimi!  We love you to the Moon and Back!

Mimi was very happy!  Aunt Linda gave a silly dancing monkey to Mimi for her desk at school....heehee!
