Beach Days 3 and 4

Well it has been raining for the last two days and even though it is not as much fun at the beach in the rain we have tried to make the best out of it.   Aunt Kim made it down last night which made for two extremely excited girls.  They now get to sleep with Kim, poor Kim hopefully she will get a little bit of sleep...that is if Gracie doesn't go potty in the bed and both girls sleep the right way!  Today Aunt Kim and Mimi bought the girls and Mark flippers, Mark and Kim are going scalloping tomorrow and Hayden just wants to practice and well of course you can't leave Gracie out.  Mark wants Hayden to go scalloping with them but she absolutely doesn't want to go this year, not sure why but she is sure of it.   Today Aunt Linda and Grandmama got here and hopefully tomorrow we will have lots of sunshine.  At least we have the pool to enjoy!!!  Colton has been a sweet, sweet baby boy the whole time, he is so precious and has been just a talking to Pop and smiling too!  I am so excited that he is interacting now, it is so much fun to talk to him and watch his reactions... he is either very serious or smiling!

Beach 2011

We got to the beach Saturday afternoon around 2pm and the ride itself was pretty good.  Colton slept until we were about an hour out and then he pretty much fussed that last hour.  He was so ready to be out of the car seat.  The girls did great, we did make more potty stops for Gracie but that is okay at least she is potty trained.  Hayden didn't sleep at all the whole way she watched lots of movies and asked about a million times "are we almost there."  We ate lunch and them got into our house and then was the fun part...unpacking the cars...yuck, yuck, YUCK!  Hayden and Gracie were very patient while waiting on us to get everything in the house and Colton played on his play mat just looking around.  The girls love the ocean even though there is seaweed this year, it is still fun.  Gracie swims in the ocean like a champ but she won't talk at all..she keeps her mouth closed tight because she doesn't like the way the ocean tastes.  There are lots of little fish, so we all put our goggles on and try to catch them, so far we haven't been able to catch any but it is lots of fun trying.  Oh and we do have a swimming pool at our house this year too and it is a really big hit, especially for Mommy because I can put Colton right inside the door and take the monitor out and enjoy floating away in the sunshine.  Last night we went ghost crab hunting and I don't think we will be going back this year.  Hayden is absolutely scared of them, don't know why but she is.  Gracie started out really brave and even held some of the baby ones but then she got pinched and she was done.  Mark also got pinched and so we called it a night!  I have taken Colton to the beach one time and he is not a fan this year, but that is okay because he really doesn't need to be out anyway.  He is such a good baby boy, he eats, plays and sleeps.  This morning it is raining and so we are having to play inside but hopefully the rain will move on out and we can go out and play.

More Swimming and Playing

Aunt Linda called Monday night and wanted to know if we would like to meet at Mimi and Pop's house to go swimming on Tuesday with her and Grandmama.  I thought it was a great idea so we decided to meet around 1pm.  We got some good lunch aka Wendy's and went to the pool.  When we first got there, the girls were ready to go, so I had to make Gracie wear her water wings because Colton was awake and I couldn't get in...so I fed him his bottle while watching them have fun.  I figured they would be bored swimming just the two of them but they weren't they played and played, in fact by the time Linda and Grandmama got there Gracie was ready for a break.  She kind of gets in and out...she really swims for about an hour and then gets out and plays with something else for about an hour and then she gets back in,  I guess you see my point.  The only problem is that when she is out of the pool wants to put on dry clothes so I had to explain to her that is not how it works!  Mimi got home early too since we surprised her by having a pool party at her house while she was working...doesn't seem fair of us does it?  When Mimi got home she realized that there was a very handsome little man on her bed....as Gracie would say Baby Colton.   He was just laying there all blocked in and looking at the lights and ceiling fan, having himself a good time.  He actually played and looked around until he fell asleep, and that is when Mommy took advantage of a little swimming myself.  This is when one of my little fish, Hayden showed us that she can swim from one end of the pool to the other in one breath underwater.  I couldn't believe that she could do it, I mean Mimi and Pop's pool is pretty LONG!  Not only did she do it one time she did it about 20 times!!!  She was so proud of herself.  Pop also got home early and did a little swimming with the princesses before we headed home to see Daddy!  The funny thing is that even after all that swimming I actually had to make Hayden go to bed last night!

All the way!!!!

Winnie the Pooh

Yesterday Mimi and I took the girls to see "Winnie the Pooh".  They seem to really enjoy it and they were probably the only kids in the theater that really watched the movie.  They ate popcorn and had cherry coke, well that is until Hayden spilt the coke all over the floor!  Mimi also bought the girls brand new book bags for school.  Gracie picked Hello Kitty and Hayden picked Princess...I figured it would be the other way around.  Then we picked out some school shoes, Hayden got black shoes to wear with her uniforms and Gracie got some really cute pink princess shoes(bad thing was they didn't come in Hayden's size and she was upset about it).  It was a fun day, just the girls!  Thanks again Mimi, We love you!

Colton stayed with Nana and Steve while we went shopping and to the movies.  It is the first time I have been without him, and I was worried about how he would do but Nana said he was a perfect little boy!  Now that I have broken the ice it won't be so hard to leave him next time.

Silly Girls

Gracie has been telling me that she wants to do Ballet this year too and I have been undecided about it but Hayden was 3 when she started so I guess fair is fair. Right?  They have been wearing these outfits for 2 days now playing ballerina and dress up.  They are so silly!!!

Colton relaxing!

Thanks Aunt Julie for the robe, he looks so cute and it says Mommy's Prince on it!!!  I love this big boy so much!!!

He is thinking...okay Mommy enough is enough..heehee!

Uncle Richard pressure washed our house and deck and it looks like a brand new house!  I was so excited to get the deck cleaned and organized.  I had forgotten just how big our deck is until it was all cleaned up.

Swimming, Swimming and More Swimming

I had my 6 week check up today so Mimi kept Hayden and Gracie while I went.  Colton went with me so all the nurses and doctors could see him and of course they thought he was a big boy and very handsome!  My appointment was good and I was relieved for it to be over and to have fun with my girls for the rest of the day SWIMMING.  That is all they think about these days!!!  When I got back to Mimi's house, Aunt Linda had come to play too and they had pizza.  We ate our lunch and then spent the rest of the day playing in the pool.  I had to feed Colton and get him to sleep before playing, so Aunt Linda and Mimi played with the girls.  Then when I couldn't get Colton to stay asleep, Mimi relieved me to go swim with the girls and she got some of that sweet loving from Colton.  Mimi got him to sleep and then he slept for 3 hrs so we all had fun playing.  I think Aunt Linda had a great time today, her and Hayden played lots of silly games in the pool, while Gracie got out to watch her shows on TV and relax for a little bit.  After Gracie rested for a while she was ready to go again and this time she jumped in the pool to Linda all by herself and once she did it one time she had to do it 100 times.  Then we waited on Pop to get home so that the girls could show off their new tricks and play with him for a little bit.  At the end of the day, Hayden stayed in the pool for about 5 hrs and she only got out to go to the bathroom and eat a small snack!!!   They had so much fun and we are so thankful for our wonderful family.

Here are the girls skiing on Aunt Linda and waving at Mimi and myself when they would go by!

4th of July

We had a fun weekend for the 4th of July.  It started Saturday with a pool party at Mimi and Pop's house.  The girls had a blast and it was great to see all of the family.  Hayden and Gracie had so much fun that they ended up spending the night with Mimi and Pop.  Mark and I brought baby boy home with us and even he must have had a great time because he slept from 9pm until 5:30am.  I couldn't believe it!  We met Mimi and Pop Sunday for lunch and we had already said that the girls could spend the night again, but can you believe that they were ready to come home.  They were so TIRED, it has been a really long time since I have seen Hayden that tired...she could barely hold her little eyes open.  Gracie was tired too but I think she had taken a 2hr nap earlier in the morning.   It rained Sunday afternoon, so it was a nice relaxing afternoon for the girls and us.

Monday, we went to watch the fireworks with some friends and Colton ended up staying awake the whole time.  Every one got to see him and thought he looked just like his Daddy!  The girls had fun playing with Bella and made some new friends too.  Mommy didn't really get to enjoy the fireworks but the girls did.  Gracie says they are way to loud and Hayden loved them this year.  Last year Hayden thought they were too loud and didn't really like them.  It was a fun weekend!  It's too bad Mark doesn't have a four day weekend every week!

My little boy!  Mark says that one day he is going to get me for dressing him like this, but I thought it was cute!

Cutie Pie!

Happy 4th of July! I love these 3 babies with all my heart!

Yesterday, I surprised the girls by taking them to Mimi and Pop's house to swim.  You should have seen their faces when I told them, it was priceless.  We had to make a trip to the bank so it seemed like a great way to spend the rest of the afternoon.  Colton was so sweet and slept most of the time, except when he was eating...which meant Mommy got to swim with the girls for the first time the Summer.  We had lots of fun!  Hayden called Pop when we got there to tell him to come home as soon as possible from work to play!  I think he was surprised too!   Gracie kind or sort of jumped int he pool from the side.  I don't think she was to sure about it just yet, but I bet by the end of the Summer she will be jumping from the diving board with her big sister.  Grandmama and Linda came to play too, which always makes two little girls happy!
