What She Wants To Be
Hayden informed me tonight that she wants to be a teacher when she grows up. I was so proud even though I know she will probably change her mind a thousand times. She was watching Dora on TV and the show was about growing up and being successful. She is only 3, I don't think I even thought about things like that until I was a lot older, we have always been told she is very mature for her age. As parents, you always want your kids to be the best that they can be. I never really understood that when I was growing up, but my Mama always told me that one day I would. Well, many years later when I look at my babies, I know that I want them to be the best at everything. Hayden is very intelligent and confident, and I truly believe that one day she can be anything she wants to be. I guess we will have to wait and see what she eventually decides on.

I can totally see that! She loves caring for little ones and she is a smart young lady. I'm guessing that she won't be a science teacher if she is afraid of frogs, though! Let me know if you ever want me to hook you up with a speech/language evaluation. I can't get an IQ test, but there is one test I give that usually scores very close to their IQ score. I tested my brother's son because he is really smart and we wanted to see how he did for fun. I love that Hayden is setting such big goals for herself!
ReplyDeleteUmm, tell her not to make a hasty decision. I'm 30 and still not really sure what I want to be when I grow up...
ReplyDeleteOf course, this Mommy gig ain't bad! :)~
