Today you are four, although it seems like just yesterday Daddy and I found out we were pregnant. We couldn't wait to start a family of our own...The night that we found out we were pregnant was unforgettable. I was so excited but must admit a little scared about becoming a Mommy, your Daddy on the other hand was practically doing flips and running around the house calling everyone he knew to spread the news. I had lots of first with you, I remember the first time you kicked inside of me and it being one of the moments I will never forget, just like when we found out you were a little girl, which I already knew, I knew from the day I found out I was pregnant that you were a little girl. We were so excited, we decorated everything perfectly just for you.
One of the best and most precious moments was February 6, 2006 at 2:01pm the most beautiful amazing 6lb 9oz 19in little girl entered the world and our lives, and you were perfect in every way. I had so many feelings going through my head, hoping that I could be the best Mommy ever and wondering if I was going to know how to take care of you, but it really does come natural. I only remembering looking at your Daddy after you were born, and thinking how much I loved him and thanking God that we had found each other and how perfect that day was. Listening to your cry was beautiful, you were very loud and healthy. You cried the whole time the nurses and doctors were checking you, but as soon as the nurse put you in my arms and I said "Hello there I'm your Mommy" you immediately stopped crying. I looked down at you and wondered if it were truly possible to love someone so much! Your Daddy has been by your side since that day, he didn't leave you alone the whole time we spent at the hospital so yes, you have had your Daddy wrapped around your little finger since that day. He is a wonderful Daddy!
You are an intelligent, wonderful little girl now, although Daddy and I still like to think of you as our baby Hayden (Punkin). Mommy gave you that nickname pretty much right after you were born, you will always be our little punkin, even though Daddy likes to call you Monkey now...But you are pretty fast to tell him you are not a Monkey you are a Punkin(haha). You have had so many accomplishments in the last four years...From sitting up, pulling up, walking, running, learning to talk, potty training, and starting Preschool. It was very hard for Mommy and Daddy to watch you start school, because that means that you are growing up, but you absolutely love it and have learned so much already. Even your teachers tell me how sweet and special you are...I don't think you will ever know just how special you are to Mommy and Daddy...WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
You are one of the sweetest and caring little girls I know. You are always looking out for your friends, family and especially your little sister, Gracie. Gracie loves you and already looks up to you and wants to be by your side all the time. I know it sometimes very aggravating for you, but I feel sure that you two will always be very close.
You always make a bad day turn into a good day and when I look into your beautiful baby blue eyes all I see innocence and how bright your future will be. Just always know that you can be anything you want to be and strive for the best, because you are the BEST!
Wishing you a very Happy 4th Birthday with all the love, hugs, and kisses in the world!!!!
WE LOVE YOU
Mommy, Daddy and Gracie
