Hayden has had Soccer practice twice a week for two weeks. She is doing great and really enjoying it! There is one little girl on her team that she isn't too sure about. This little girl keeps pushing Hayden down, with her hands. Hand are a NO NO in Soccer, this little girl knows the rules but chooses to ignore them apparently. Hayden always has to scrimmage against this girl because they are a little more aggressive than the other girls so far. Last night this little girl acted like a big ole brat(for the lack of better words). She didn't want to practice and she pouted most of the night. So Hayden is ruling the ball and field, headed to the goal, when this little girl runs right to her and hits her in the chest and pushes her down to the ground, with her hands. I was standing up out of my chair by this point, getting a little upset! Thank goodness the Coach ran over to this little girl and explained the rules once again. All the other Moms were surprised too! Hayden got right up and kept on playing though. I could tell she was shocked and maybe a little embarrassed, but she was a big girl and never showed it. She did tell me later that her chest hurt but she was okay. I know that things are going to happen and that some of them are going to forget that they can't use their hands, but I am telling you, this little girl did it on purpose last night. I told Hayden later to just keep being aggressive and play the game the right way! She did an awesome job last night and as always made me proud.
Hayden also practiced being the Goalie last night. She did a great job too, she stopped at least 4 goals! I love the way she smiles when she knows she has done something good. Her Coach complimented her a lot last night and so did the other Moms. All of us Mommies try to cheer all the girls on, it really gets them going! Her first game is Sept. 8th at 9am. I can't wait to see how she does. This year will be a lot different but I think she is really going to enjoy it!
One of my previous post was about Hayden's chicken business and coop. Well, when we got home from school yesterday, Hayden checked for eggs and she did have two in the coop. She brought them in smiling like a very proud girl and put them up. Then she watered the chickens and fed them. She told me she played with them too. I didn't even ask what that really meant! She told me on the way to practice that Daddy was going to be so surprised when he got home and the chickens had food and water. Then she said "when we get home Daddy is going to tell me that I didn't have any eggs today. Then I will tell him yes we did we had 2 and I did every thing by myself". She was right too! He couldn't believe that she did it all by herself but he was pretty proud of her.
Oh and Hayden loved her deviled eggs last night, but you should have seen her face when we told her that they were her eggs. She looked at me like "WHAT" and then she smiled at Mark and said "I don't care these are really good deviled eggs". Love this little girl so much.
