Mimi's Beach Birthday Party

Yesterday we celebrated Mimi's birthday!  Her birthday is Monday the 5th and since all she wanted for her birthday was to go to the beach, we decided to bring the beach to our house!  We even named our beach, bet you can't figure out what we named it....are you ready?  Mimi's Beach!!!  Hayden and I thought it was the best name ever!   Hayden even made a sign to put on the door that said 'Welcome to Mimi's Beach', it was pretty cute.  I had the idea of decorating our kitchen table like the beach with real sand, my family thought I had lost it, but when they figured out I was really going to do it...they were all more than ready to help, even Mark.  He made all the sandcastles and helped Hayden, Gracie and Colton put their hand prints in the sand.  Hayden and Gracie had so much fun running all over the house getting everything I needed....flippers, sunglasses, flip flops, towels, beach bag, swim suits, sunscreen and of course some sea shells.  Hayden said the only thing we had left was water, but we didn't have a pretty blue bowl, otherwise I would have mixed up some salt water for it.  I think it turned out perfect!  Hayden made a picture of Mimi at the beach and I bought a frame and framed it as part of her birthday present!  Pretty sure she loved it!  We celebrated with fried shrimp, french fries, hush puppies and red velvet cake.  The cake was made by the school teacher at GWA, and as always it was delicious!

We were very proud of our beach!

Happy Birthday Mimi!  We love you to the Moon and Back!

Mimi was very happy!  Aunt Linda gave a silly dancing monkey to Mimi for her desk at school....heehee!

Happy Birthday Mimi!  We love you very much!  Hope you enjoyed your day at the beach!
