Mother's Day 2012

We celebrated Mother's Day with Mimi and Grandmama Saturday night.  We fried shrimp, onion rings, hush puppies and french fires.  It was all so yummy!  It was a little messy of a day but it turned out to be perfect because it wasn't so dang hot!  Mimi loved her gifts...the kids painted her a flower pot with their hand prints and Colton's foot print, being that he kept closing his hand before we could get paint on it.  Then the girls finished decorating it the way they wanted it.  They made a mess, but it turned out great.

We took Nana her Mother's Day gift on Friday, some beautiful flowers that Hayden and Gracie picked out and some updated pictures of all the babies!  Nana was very surprised and excited.  We didn't take them until later on Friday so Gracie and Colton had fallen asleep in the car, but Hayden got to give her some kisses and hugs.

Since I wasn't feeling well and it rained all day yesterday, I celebrated my Mother's Day by not leaving my house at all!  Mark and the girls went to buy me a present and Little Man took a nap the whole time they were gone.  So I did what I always do...clean!  I know, but it makes me feel good when everything is in its place and put up.  So after I cleaned up the nice mess of a house they left me with, I watched Dirty Dancing, one of my all time favorite movies!  I remember I was in the 3rd grade when it came out!   When Mark and the girls got back home they had Krispy Kreme donuts, a new shirt and a new pair of flip flops.  They did so good, I loved it all!  Hayden also had me a book about Mommy's and she read the whole thing to me.   She was so proud of herself and I was pretty proud of her too.  Evidently Mimi had been practicing with her for a couple of weeks.  Thank you Mimi for thinking of me and making a very special memory.  They also let me choose what we were having for dinner and that was Spaghetti, and it was delicious.  Mark dislikes Spaghetti very much but he ate it anyways since it was Mother's Day.  After dinner all 3 of my loves crawled up in my lap to watch America's funniest videos.

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful Mommy's out there!  I know I sure feel loved!

Woo Hoo Go Mudhens!

Hayden had a tournament game yesterday morning at 10am, they played so good and just when we thought they were going to loose and be done for the day, the Mudhens scored one more run and WON the game 13-12!  I was so nervous for them, working in the dug out, I get to see how excited they get when they realize they might win.  One of the girls on their team even made a triple play, yeah that's right 5 and 6 year old soft ball is exciting stuff.  Hayden got some really good hits and she played 3rd base, but we had to keep reminding her to get after the ball, not to just wait on it to come to her.  She did a fantastic job and words can't describe how proud we are of her.  Since they won the first tournament game they had to play another tournament game at 1pm.  So we went with Mimi and Pop and got some lunch to fuel up our little Allstar and headed back to the ball field.  Never thought I would be so excited to be at the ball field but I am, it is so much fun watching all the girls get out there and play, especially my girl!
We got back at 1pm and the Mudhens were ready to play this time too.  They played the 2nd game even better than the first game.  They all got big hits, especially Hayden...I have to brag!  Even her coach couldn't believe how she was knocking that ball, it was the good hits when you hear it ding off the bat!    She played between 2nd and 3rd this game and she really got after the ball this time.  She made a good throw to first to almost get an out! They all did great in the field by getting 3 outs as fast as they could!  Lets just say that they won't let you score more than 21 runs and the final score was 21-10!  When they scored that last run, we all ran out on the field to give high fives and hugs!  They were so excited!  GO MUDHENS!  Now we play our 3rd game Tuesday night at 6pm!  Who knows the Mudhens may go on to win the championship!

Mother's Day Spa at GWA

I had the best Mother's Day from my sweet Hayden at GWA today.  It was a Spa, who doesn't like that?  When I got there all the other Mother's were standing outside waiting.  When Mrs. McDaniel opened the door, they had candles burning with no lights on, and it smelled just like a spa and a table with food.  Mrs. McDaniel said "Hayden your 1:30 appointment is here" and Hayden came over took my hand and showed me where to sit, and then she stood behind me.  There was very relaxing music playing and once all the Mother's were seated, they all started to massage our backs.  Hayden did a fantastic job, she is very gentle which would explain why she was chosen to receive the 'Gentleness Specialists' award!  After my back massage I was served a plate with strawberry shortcake, cheese straws and grapes, it was all very good...made it even better that my baby gave it to me.  Then it was time for the foot massage, that was wonderful maybe I can convince her to do it every night!  Then it was time to change seats for the hand massage and again she did a great job.  After all of this I was just ready for a nap...but it was time for the song that the class had prepared.  It was the cutest thing ever, I am not sure the name of it but it is something to the effect of 'your beautiful'.  Oh and she stood in front of all the other Mommy's and classmates and told them why she loved me so much....She said "I love my Mommy so much because she cooks me strawberry pies" and yes at this point I was crying.  I have never felt so proud and loved!  Also every other Mommy was teared up or crying too!  It was one of the most precious moments ever, I love her so much and she always makes me so proud no matter what.  She is still very shy but she stood up there just for me and that by itself was precious!  Then after all of this, I got a homemade scrub and a piece of pottery that she made.  Wow! That was the best Mother's Day gift I could ever get!  Thank you Hayden for loving me and making me feel so special!  I love you sweet girl to the moon and back as always you are my shining star!

Here is my angel in her cap and gown!  She really does look like an angel!  I can't believe it she is just growing up way too fast!  My shining star and angel.  I don't think she will ever know how much I love her and how proud I am of her and Daddy too!  She amazes us every day!

Allstar!

Well Hayden made Allstars!  She doesn't know yet, because she still has two regular games left.  She will find out after the game on Saturday!  To say that Mark is excited would be a huge understatement! and me too for that matter.  We are so proud of our wonderful little girl that is getting pretty growny everyday!  The way she helps take care of Colton is amazing, she acts just like me.  She is his second little Mommy and he loves her to pieces.  He now crawls to her and wants her to pick him up and play with him.  He is still a little scared of Gracie, basically she doesn't realize she is hurting him sometimes, I mean she is only 3 after all.  They all 3 love each other so much it makes my heart melt with love!

In the past when planning birthday parties, Mark has always told me to do whatever I want being that he isn't really into pink and princesses...however with Little Man's birthday coming up he is getting more involved.  He picked out a front end loader tractor to give him for his present, yes I had to ask what kind of tractor it was before putting it on here because I don't know a thing about boy stuff and tractors.  His party is going to be Saturday May 26th 1-3pm.   His invitations will be arriving soon, I had pictures done and we have to wait to get them.  Sorry that they will be a little later but we are some really busy people!   The invitation will look something like this!!!  What a handsome little man I have!  I love him so much!

Field Day 2012

Well it hasn't rained in what about 3 weeks or so and of course on Field Day it rained.  One would think that it would have been ruined but not at GWA, because they have lots of water activities so it didn't matter at all to the kids.  The wetter the better! Thanks to Mimi for bringing me an umbrella, I wasn't prepared for rain at all!  Unfortunately Colton, Gracie and myself had to stand under shelter for about half of field day because it was very cold once they got wet. It still didn't matter to Hayden, in fact I almost think she enjoyed field day even better since it was raining!  My little water bug!   She had so much fun at the end when the fire trucks released all the water all over the football field!  She was freezing once she was finished though, she was still shivering with blue lips as we ate our chick-fil-a lunch!

After field day we had Colton's 1 year pictures.  It is crazy that he is going to be a year old this month, time sure does zoom by!  He is definitely not a fan of chocolate cake or maybe it was the fact that this cake was extrememly chocolatey He made a awful face and wanted it off of his hands immediately.  Silly boy, it was also way past his nap time and he wasn't his little ham of a self at all.  That is okay after 3 kids I know that sometimes you have great photo days and sometimes not so much.  Although, he spent a lot of time crying Ms. Mylinda is sure that she got some great shots for his birthday invitations and his pictures.  He is all boy and a little mess!  His birthday theme is tractors and mud.  I am so excited about planning a messy party!  I have lots of thoughts and ideas!  He is almost walking, he took 4 steps to his Daddy on Friday...it is only a matter of time!

Saturday, we had Hayden's game and even though they didn't win, they all played well.  Hayden always hits good and pays attention.   She goes for her Allstar tryouts on Monday...wish her luck!   After the game we got all ready for Aunt Kim's birthday party.  My kids love to help me plan and deocrate for parties.  With the help of pinterest I am really coming up with some great ideas.  Hayden and Gracie were so excited because they got to help pick out all the decorations!  I am pretty sure that Kim loved her party, food and presents...we sure are glad because we love her very much!

Exciting News

Well last night Hayden's coach asked Mark and I to stay after the game so he could talk to us.  First thing that went through my mind was uh oh what did we do wrong.  Just kidding, I knew we didn't do anything but we do have a parent that is consistently saying and acting wrong.  He wanted to tell us that Hayden is up for Allstars, not sure what this entitles but we couldn't be more proud of her.  She goes next Monday to find out what Allstars is all about!

Sometimes my kids say the silliest things and then other times they say the sweetest things in the world.  This morning while pulling up to the school...Hayden says "Mommy I know who is in your heart" and  I asked her "who" and she says "Jesus and your Daddy"  how sweet is that?  Gracie is really coming into her personality and is always making me smile these days.  She asked me yesterday "Mommy, you know why I love you" so I asked her "why" and she said "because you buy me stuff"  silly and sweet!   All Colton says is "More and Mama" every time he sees a drink or food!

Gracie's Water Day

Colton and I went to Preschool to have water day today!  Colton liked getting squirted with all the water and he really likes Mrs. Monica, he kept wanting her to hold him.  Gracie was the only child in the class that didn't get wet, not sure what happened there.  She kind of played by herself a good bit, but then I would look up and she would be chasing her friends.  Mrs. Monica is right though, she removes herself from situations when she thinks she is going to get in trouble, very smart girl.  For instance when all of the other little girls painted their hands and legs instead of the boxes they were supposed to be painting, she got up and left to do something else.  She followed all the rules and listened to every thing Mrs. Monica and Mrs. Brooke said.  Makes me a proud Mommy!  I was the only Mommy that was able to come back this morning, which made for one proud little girl.  I am so glad that I get to be there and do all these things with my babies.

On another note, I opened Hayden's book bag yesterday and found her Kindergarten graduation invitation in it.  It says Class of 2024 and I just started crying.  Is it possible that she is going to be in the 1st grade next year?  Yes it is and it is going to be here before I know it!  I have so many happy tears because I am so very proud of her and some sad ones because my first baby is growing up way too fast. Just know that I will be sobbing at the graduation because I will be the proudest Mommy there!!!!

Oh and one more thing Little Man is not far from walking.  He has taken two steps with Mark and I but still not sure of just taking off yet.  It won't be long so watch out everybody!  I am so proud of him too.  All three of my babies are wonderful and amazing.  Mommy and Daddy love you all so very much!
