Game Ball Gracie

Saturday was a really busy day.  Both girls had ball games.  Hayden's game was a 10am.  This is the first game that she actually got struck out.  The bad thing is that she struck out twice.  She was so upset.  She couldn't get her face mask on fast enough so that everyone couldn't see the tears.  However, Mommy knew what she was doing so I handed off the line up sheet to go have a talk with Hayden.  After all she is my biggest concern.  I told her that it was okay, it happens to everyone at some point.  She was so upset and of course as her Mommy I was so upset for her.  I just wanted to tell them to give her one more try, I know it isn't the rules but it is so hard to see her like that.  Even after I talked to her, Mark came over and tried to cheer her up too.  She still couldn't shake it off but she went back out and played 3rd base like a champ.  She made several outs and she didn't let that ball go past her.  After the game, her Coach had a little talk with her too and he told her that it happens to everyone and that she is still one of the best ball players he has ever seen.  Good Job Hayden, we are so proud of you.

Gracie's game was at 3pm.  We all went to lunch and went back to the field.  We got there early so Hayden and Gracie watched some of the bigger girls play.  Hayden even learned a few things.  Gracie was so excited about her game.  Hayden and I had walked over to watch a little bit of another game when Gracie's coaches showed up.  Evidently because I wasn't there in the dug out and throwing with her she started crying for Mommy.  When I got there I got her settled down and from then on she was all smiles.  She had some really big hits and she even went after the ball several times  and threw it to the pitcher.  I think her Daddy was the proudest person there.  She was all smiles when she heard Mimi, Pop, Kim and Daddy cheering her on.  The best part of the whole day was that Gracie got the Game Ball.  Words cannot describe how excited she was or us for that matter.  We love you Gracie.  Good Job baby!

Cotlon was such a good boy for all of this.  We are so proud of  him too!

We are so proud of both of our girls.  We are the luckiest parents in the world!
