We got to the beach Saturday afternoon around 2pm and the ride itself was pretty good. Colton slept until we were about an hour out and then he pretty much fussed that last hour. He was so ready to be out of the car seat. The girls did great, we did make more potty stops for Gracie but that is okay at least she is potty trained. Hayden didn't sleep at all the whole way she watched lots of movies and asked about a million times "are we almost there." We ate lunch and them got into our house and then was the fun part...unpacking the cars...yuck, yuck, YUCK! Hayden and Gracie were very patient while waiting on us to get everything in the house and Colton played on his play mat just looking around. The girls love the ocean even though there is seaweed this year, it is still fun. Gracie swims in the ocean like a champ but she won't talk at all..she keeps her mouth closed tight because she doesn't like the way the ocean tastes. There are lots of little fish, so we all put our goggles on and try to catch them, so far we haven't been able to catch any but it is lots of fun trying. Oh and we do have a swimming pool at our house this year too and it is a really big hit, especially for Mommy because I can put Colton right inside the door and take the monitor out and enjoy floating away in the sunshine. Last night we went ghost crab hunting and I don't think we will be going back this year. Hayden is absolutely scared of them, don't know why but she is. Gracie started out really brave and even held some of the baby ones but then she got pinched and she was done. Mark also got pinched and so we called it a night! I have taken Colton to the beach one time and he is not a fan this year, but that is okay because he really doesn't need to be out anyway. He is such a good baby boy, he eats, plays and sleeps. This morning it is raining and so we are having to play inside but hopefully the rain will move on out and we can go out and play.
