Mother's Day

My Mother's Day was great!  The girls spent the night with Mimi and Pop Saturday night to go to watch the Braves game....talk about some excited little girls!  However, even though they were excited little girls, Colton was an extremely unhappy little boy.  He really did not appreciate being left out, but he was okay when he realized he had Mommy and Daddy all to himself.  We went on a long Jeep ride, which always makes him so happy even though he usually sleeps through most of it.  It is so much fun riding in the Jeep when it is warm and sunny outside.  The girls and Mimi and Pop got to our house Sunday afternoon and they arrived with Prime Rib, Roses and gifts.  The roses were beautiful and the food was delicious.  Grandmama and Linda came to join us for some yummy food too.  I even filled up our kiddie pool and let the kids swim and have fun.  It was a perfect Mother's Day.  The best part was all the gifts the kids made themselves at school.  Aunt Linda even helped Colton make me something really special.  I loved all of my precious gifts and they were all so excited to give them to me!

UGA Softball Game

Today Mark and I took the kids to the last UGA softball game before the SEC playoffs.  Kim and Artie joined us for the fun.  UGA did win 3-1 today and one got a real home run.  Hayden really enjoyed watching it.  Gracie and Colton enjoyed it too.  Of course they had popcorn, cokes, sunflower seeds and a slushy.  I know you are all surprised.  Right!  Hayden had her glove ready to try and catch a few foul balls.  Gracie even had a glove ready, kind of surprised me but she wanted to wear one too.  Unfortunately none of the foul balls landed close to us but at least she was paying attention.  It was a fun day and we all love watching Softball! 

We have had a great weekend!  Lots of Softball and lake fun.  The weekends go by way too fast.  Next weekend is Mother's Day.  I added that information for Mark, just in case he didn't know!!!! 

Aunt Kim's birthday

The day started with an awesome ball game from the Tigers!  Hayden knocked the fire out of the ball every time she came up to bat.  She also stopped a ball that I was pretty sure she wouldn't be able to get to and she caught a fly ball but lost control of it...but it still counts in my Mommy book.  She truly amazes me at her talent.  They won the ball game 19-6!!!!


Then it was off to celebrate Aunt Kim's birthday.  She chose to spend it at the Sandy Creek Lake in Athens.  Kim and Artie took their kayaks and hammocks and all sorts of other stuff.  Hayden and Mark went in one kayak and Kim took Colton and Gracie in another one.  They really enjoyed it especially Colton.  He really likes boats!  After the kayaks we took them to the beach area and they got to swim.  That was by far their favorite part.  My kids LOVE to swim and be in water...all three of them.  After some swimming it was time for food and presents.  I think Aunt Kim enjoyed her birthday and got every thing she really wanted. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Field Day 2014

Friday was field day at GWA.  The girls were so excited they couldn't wait.  Aunt Linda kept Colton so that I could chase both girls around and take pictures....and enjoy it without trying to make sure Colton didn't run away.  He is extremely fast sometimes! 

This was Gracie's first field day and she couldn't quit smiling.  She participated in every thing which kind of surprised me a little.  I am so glad she is coming out of her shell just a little bit.  She was so excited about getting sprayed by the fire truck, well that is until she bumped heads with another little boy and she was done and by done...I mean done.  She then realized she was cold, tired and ready to go.  Overall, she thoroughly enjoyed her first field day!

Hayden is a pro at field day.  She loves all of the activities, but the fire truck is by far her favorite too.  I guess because they are such water babies they just love whatever kind of water they can get.  It was so cold but she didn't care at all.  She ran through it with the biggest smile ever.  She also ended up throwing the baseball at like 34mph, which really surprised all the parents and seniors! 

It was a great day and Colton had the best time with Aunt Linda and Grandmama.  Thank you so much Aunt Linda, I don't know what I would do without you!!!
