Pajama Day / Haircut / Softball

Today was Pajama Day at Preschool.  Gracie wore a gorgeous Princess nightgown with leggings, since it was a little bit chilly / windy today.  She was Princess Gracie.  She also wore her house coat instead of her jacket today and of course, we had to have pigtails.  What can I say, she knows how to have a great pajama day.  She had a good day and was ready to tell me all about it when I picked her up.

Colton had his 2nd haircut yesterday.  He did so good and he looks so big and handsome.  I also took my cousin Kelli with me so that she could help me with him while I got my hair fixed too.  It was a huge help and he was a good little man.   Ms. Belinda even gave him his first spike!   Love this little boy so much!

Hayden had another game last night.  Lets just say Hayden Stancil was on fire!  She made 2 outs at 3rd base, 1 out at home and threw one ball from 3rd base to 1st base and got an out there too!  She hit very well all 3 times too.  I am so proud of my little Softball Player!  She was so excited that one very important man made it to her game last night too...her Daddy!!!  Good Job Sweet Girl.  Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you!

Beautiful Day

Sunday was a beautiful day!  We had ball pictures at 1 and 1:30 for the girls and then we came back home and played outside.  Well, at first Mark and the kids were playing outside while I did all the Mommy stuff....like getting book bags ready, lunches ready, washing clothes and unloading dishwasher.  Although, it was easier with every one out of the house.  Then I went outside and sat in the sunshine.  Gracie was driving Colton around in their new car and he was laughing and so excited.  It was like music to our ears.  Hayden finally joined them in the back of the car, she is really too big but she still had fun.  Gracie drives like a crazy person but she seems to be pretty good at it.  She looks so cute driving around the yard.  Colton holds on as tight as possible!

I also made these and thought they were pretty cute.  I know there will be lots more pictures of them playing Softball this year.  I have got to start that scrapbook for them as soon as possible.  I want to do something really special for them.

Proud, Proud Mommy and Daddy

Hayden and Gracie both had their first games yesterday!  It was such a beautiful day to spend at the ball field.

Hayden's game was first and her team had a great game.  Hayden had two really good hits and she ended up having to hit off the T the last time, but that is okay.  She had 4 or 5 run in off of her hits, which made her Coach happy!  Hayden is such a good little player, sometimes I don't even think she realizes how good she is.  She made some excellent throws from 3rd base to 1st base and she almost got an out at 2nd base.  She didn't realize she had to tag the runner instead of getting to the base first.  That's okay though, now she knows.  It isn't something that they have been practicing.  They WON 18-7 and they were so excited!   I have to admit I had so much fun watching them play!  Thanks to Mimi, Pop, Kim, Artie, Grandmama and Linda for helping watch Gracie and Colton so I could do my dug out Mom duties!  I so appreciate it!!!

We all went to eat pizza after Hayden's game, since we were waiting for Gracie's game to start.  Gracie was getting a little nervous, but I kept telling her she would have fun!  After lunch we were back at the ball field ready to go.

Gracie's team is the Giants.  They don't keep score in T Ball...basically all the team hits and runs bases and then they swap up.  That's okay because I think that is the perfect speed for Gracie at this point.  Gracie looked as if she was going to cry in the dug out, but I kept making her get ready.  Once she got up to hit, she was fine and she ran those bases like a champ.  When she came back in, I was ready and waiting for high fives and telling her how so very proud I am of her.  That is a really big deal for her.  She also got a little action in the field, thanks to the nice coach that told her what to do.  It made me feel so good for someone to try to teach her what the purpose was.  The second time she hit, it was a really good hit or at least that is what I was told.  I was trying to put a helmet on one of the other kids and missed it, but I didn't tell her that.  I was ready and waiting again when she came back in and this time she was all smiles and excited.  I am so, so happy she liked it and had fun!  I have to admit I was a little worried, I never know what she is going to do but she is just like Hayden she always surprises me and conquers those fears!  I love my girls so much and I truly am so very proud of them.  Thanks again to all of our wonderful family for helping watch Coltona and Hayden while I stayed in the dug out with my baby girl!

Good Job Girls!  Mommy and Daddy love you to the Moon and Back!  Remember always aim high and reach for those stars babies!!!

Grand Slam

Yesterday, Hayden's coach called to tell me that we would be having a scrimmage game at practice.  He said that every one is talking about the cannon of an arm that Hayden has.  It makes me so proud to hear that!  He told her to be ready!   Ready is what she was!  She played great in the field, she got to the ball and threw it straight to first base with no problems.  I felt so good watching her and all the other parents were telling her what a great job she was doing.  The whole team did great.  I think we are going to have a great season this year!  Then it was time to hit.  The first time Hayden hit she popped it right in the air and it landed right behind first base, she got out but it was still an awesome hit!  The next time she hit, she got a GRAND SLAM, the whole team was excited!  She didn't even know what she had done, she just knew it was a a home run, so I explained it to her on the way home.  You should have heard her when we got home and she got to tell her Daddy all about it.   I love watching her play ball and I can't wait until Saturday to watch both my girls play!

Silly Boy

Well, it has been a good week for us.  We did skip T Ball practice last night because it was just too windy and cold.  Hayden has practice tonight and Gracie has ballet.  I am getting so excited about Saturday and watching my girls play ball.  I hope Gracie doesn't get really shy and decided she isn't going to play.  Hayden is ready!

Colton is a silly, silly boy.  He loves to pose for the camera now.  He also says Cheese for every picture.
He is such little dare devil and always getting into stuff.  He gets chairs, stools from the bathroom or anything else he can find to stand on and carries them all over the house to stand on to get to other things.  So now when I see him with a chair, I tell him NO NO and he starts to cry and stomp, yes stomp his feet at me.  I told him, too bad son I have figured you out. (HaHa)  Last night he somehow managed to get out of his secured high chair and crawl across the kitchen counter to get a different sippy cup.  When I saw this I very calmly walked over and grabbed him.  I was afraid if I spoke he would get scared and fall!  He is so smart and copies every thing anybody does.  I love my babies so much!

My girls are both #1 this year!

Circus 2013

Mimi and Pop took all of us to the Circus yesterday!  We got there early, so we were able to see some of the pre show.  They got to see an elephant named Katie.  Katie could paint, shoot basketball and play the harmonica.  The kids were amazed.  Then we went to our seats and while we waited on the show to start Aunt Kim bought the girls snow cones.  Colton shared with them and he thought they were pretty good too.  Of course, the girls loved theirs.  It is one of their favorite things.  Pop also bought some cotton candy later and it came with a cute circus hat.  Colton and Gracie decided that they are not fans of cotton candy, I can't blame them...I don't even like to smell the stuff.  It is disgusting!  Colton loved the animals and the motorcycles.  Gracie said the clowns were her favorite part.  Hayden liked the lions and the girls flying in the sky the best.  Their faces were priceless during the show.  I had the most fun just sitting back and watching them and their faces.  Colton was such a good boy, he sat with Pop for most of the show.  He got a little restless by the end but overall he was very well behaved!  Hayden and Gracie also made they got a souvenir on the way out.  They both got a really pretty unicorn / horse...I really don't know which one it is!  It was a fun time and we all enjoyed it.

Hayden has loved pretending to be a clown and even though Gracie wouldn't put the hat or nose on yesterday, she has been wearing all afternoon today.

Practice, Practice, Practice

Last night Gracie had T Ball practice at 6pm and Hayden had Softball practice at 6pm.  They are two different fields so thank goodness for Mimi and Pop.  Mimi and Pop took Gracie to practice and Colton and I took Hayden.  It was so very COLD but I love watching Hayden practice.  Mimi and Pop said that Gracie did very well last night.  That she hit the ball off the T the first time and it took several times for the other kids to hit.  Go Gracie Leigh.  They also got their schedules and uniforms last night.  She got the #1!   Gracie's team is the Giants and all of her games are on Mondays at 6pm and there are 2 on Saturdays.   Her first game is next Saturday at 3pm.

I haven't gotten Hayden's schedule yet but I am hoping that her games are not on Monday, since I help in the dugout on her team.  Hayden played really well in the field last night and like I said in a previous post the girl has turned on her speed running.  She didn't hit very well because for some reason she wanted to step back which meant she missed the ball.  Her swing is perfect if she would just step forward.  Oh well, guess it will come with time.  Her Coach said that they all stepped backward last night because it was stinging their hands when they would hit it.   She is doing such a great job.  One of the other Moms last night said she had a cannon for an arm.  I just smiled and said thank you.  Again I am one proud Mommy.  Go Hayden and Gracie!!!

Colton was a little Popsicle but he was very good.  He played very well by himself and entertained a couple of other Moms and Dads.  He also made a friend with a 3 year old little girl.  He copied every thing she did!  After Gracie's practice Mimi and Pop came and rescued Colton and warmed him up too.  Thanks so much Mimi and Pop.  I really appreciate every thing you do for us!!!
