Santa

Mimi and I took the kids to see Santa last Saturday.  I was sure that Colton would not like him again this year, but I was so wrong!  He went in and gave him a hug and kiss.  He also told him that he wants a truck, car and tractor.  The girls love Santa.  Gracie stayed in his lap the whole time and Hayden got her hugs and kisses too.  They told Santa they both want an ipad and a newborn baby doll.  They all wore their really cute outfits and I am pretty sure that we got some great pictures.  I go back sometime next week to look at all of them.  Hayden and Gracie's Christmas dress this year is so adorable.  Colton wore a shirt that matched their dresses because they all have to match!  Right!  I am getting so excited about Christmas.  We will start the decorating process this Sunday...when we get our tree!  I can't wait to see what Colton thinks about every thing this year.  The girls are already so excited, they want to decorate today!

Thanksgiving Play

Gracie had her Thanksgiving play at school on Friday.  She worked so hard to memorize her part....M is for Many...Their blessings were many, their troubles were few.  To give thanks for their blessings the pilgrims knew what they should do.  I was so worried that when she had to talk in front of every one she would get shy and scared.  She didn't she spoke right into the microphone and said her whole part with a smile.  I am so proud of my sweet girl!

Good Job Gracie Leigh.  Mommy and Daddy are so very proud of you.  We love you to the moon and back and infinity!!!

Leaves!.

Yesterday I took the kids to see Mema.  She is doing good, she is sad but she is one very strong person and will be okay.  She loves for us to come and keep her busy.  She has several beautiful trees in her front yard, but this year they didn't turn as pretty.  However, all the leaves are steadily falling off...so I decided I better go ahead and take more pictures.  Yes, that is right....more pictures.  I could not ever have enough pictures of my adorable children.  Mema said that I get it from her because she has millions of pictures in her house.  My Aunt Joanne helped me get some great pictures.  She is such goof, they couldn't help but laugh at her.

They had more fun than any kids I have ever seen just running and playing in the leaves on the ground.  I buried them in the leaves and they would break out of them.  Then they had a leaf fight.  Then they would make a pile and slide into it.  They were laughing and having the best time.

Get to Work Daddy!

Colton got to go to Daddy's job and see tractors and airplanes on Sunday.  He was so excited and of course I used the opportunity to take some pictures.  He didn't get to ride on the tractor but he got to watch his Daddy work.

Skating Party

Hayden had her Ducks Team Party at the skating rink in Athens on Saturday.
Hayden and Gracie both skated at the skating rink.  Gracie stayed on the carpet mostly because she felt safe there.  Coach Nicole did help Gracie skate on the skating rink for a long time and by the end of the day she was doing it by herself.  Her smile made it all worth while!  Hayden did very well but did fall a few times.  She laughed every time she fell.   Hayden enjoyed being with her friends.  When Coach Nicole gave out the trophies, she made sure to tell every girl what they were the best at.  When Hayden got hers she told her that she was the best 3rd baseman in this age group ever!  Their Ducks team was undefeated and Coach Nicole and Coach Matt were so very proud of all of the girls!  Now we just have to wait until Spring to watch this amazing little girl play ball again!

After a fun day of skating both girls got to spend the night with Aunt Kim.  Talk about some excited little girls.  They were squealing and cheering and all kinds of other stuff.  They had so much fun at Kim's house.  They are already planning on going back again!  Thank you Kim for making memories they will never forget!

Family is always there for you

Last Sunday, we got that call that no one ever wants to get. It was my brother and he told me that I needed to get to Mema  and Pop's house as fast as I could because Pop was passing away.  I wanted and tried to get to their house before Hospice moved him from their house to the Hospice house.  I didn't make it but after I got there, Hospice called and told us to get there as fast as possible because it was happening a lot faster than expected.  I was the first one in the room.  I made sure that I told him that I loved him and that he has always been the best Pop and Father in the world.  I also kissed him on the forehead and then just sat beside him.  The whole family was there and we are a pretty big family.  We were all there for each other.  We were there for ten minutes and then we all watched him pass away.  It was such an emotional process, but I am so glad he knew we were all there and that we loved him so very much.  He was such a huge part of my life.  He loved us so much.  He took care of all of us.  I know that he is not suffering anymore and that he is where he needs to be, but I do miss him so much.  My Mema and Pop have always been like parents to me.  I lived with them for 9 years and I just have so much respect, love and appreciation for every thing they have done and do for me.  I love you infinity Pop!  Hayden, Gracie and Colton love you to the moon and back!

Thank you so much to every one in our family for all the prayers, kind words and help with our babies.  Aunt Linda, I don't know what I would have done without you.  I don't even know how to repay you for every thing.  You are such a great Aunt and we love you!  Thank you Mimi, Pop and Kim for helping with the girls at school when I couldn't get there in time, for all the calls just to make sure I was okay and for coming to the funeral and being there for me. I love you all so much.

Cotton Gin Festival 2013

Today we took Colton and Gracie to the Cotton Gin Festival.  Hayden spent the night with one of her friends and decided she didn't want to go with us.  Colton loves all tractors and this was a perfect adventure for him.  There were over 200 tractors in the parade.  There were also some old trucks, big  trucks and cool cars that he enjoyed watching.  He watched the whole parade and only got  a little bit restless towards the end.  The parade lasted about an hour and half, so that was a long time for his attention span.  After the parade we decided to come home and watch the football game and fry shrimp with family.  All in all it was a fun day.  Colton really enjoyed himself and that was the best  part for me.

Halloween 2013

Halloween was a fun but very busy day.  Aunt Linda came to entertain Colton while I went to Hayden and Gracie's Halloween parties at school.  Thank you so much for Aunt Linda.  It is such a huge help and Colton had way more fun with her than he would have me.  They went to the park and played rode his bike and played hard.

Gracie's party was at 11:30, so she was first.  She had so much fun.  This is all still new to her at GWA.  They played games, painted pumpkins and of course had cupcakes and food.  They all got to wear their costumes too, there were lots of super heroes and princesses in there.  I am so glad I am able to be at all their fun stuff.

After Gracie's party, Aunt Linda came and picked her up from school and they all went back to the park.  She was so excited to ride in Linda's car.  It is a really big deal to ride with anyone but Mommy.  I don't know why, guess it is just something different.

Hayden's party started at 1:30 and her classes party is in the lunch room.  They had some snacks and cupcakes and went back to their classroom to make Mummies out of each other with toilet paper.  You should have heard the laughter in that classroom.

After all of this, Hayden and I went to pick up Gracie and Colton. They were so tired they were both about to fall asleep on the playground.  Good Job Aunt Linda.  That is when you know they are tired!!!

Colton got a power nap when we got home and then we all got dressed and ready to go trick or treating.  We went to Aunt Kim and Uncle Artie's house and met with Mimi and Pop.  Mimi and Pop had fixed them a really neat trick or treat bucket up with lots of their favorite goodies in them.  Colton even got a tractor!  Mimi and I took them all around the neighborhood to trick or treat.  They were so sweet and very thankful to each house.  I have to admit it made me a proud Mommy.  Even though I may have had to remind them a few times.  They had so much fun looking to see who had their light on and how fast they could get there.  Hayden rang all the doorbells, she thought she was hot stuff!  Colton loved it.  This was his first year and boy did he enjoy himself.  After we went to all houses, Hayden went back to Kim's and handed out some candy to other kids.  She enjoyed being big enough to do it herself.  It was a great time and we were home in time to watch Charlie Brown too.

Thank you to everyone that helped me yesterday.  I appreciate it so much.  I love you all!
